Coming up in next week’s episodes of Emmerdale, it looks as though Cameron Murray’s crimes could be quite literally unearthed when work is set to begin on the woodland area where he buried his victim, Alex Cross…

The drama begins when Steve Harland (Tom Mannion) gets revenge on Declan Macey (Jason Merrells) – for the horse buying syndicate deal that Declan cut Steve out of recently – by outbidding him for land at Sparrow Woods which is near the Home Farm estate.

However, Cameron (Dominic Power) couldn’t care less about the backbiting and scheming between Steve and Declan, but he is horrified to realise that irrespective of whoever ends up with the land, work to convert the woodland to a more usable area will begin very soon.

So, in the episode that airs on Tuesday, April 30, we’ll see Cameron desperately trying to ditch the plans for a quiet night in that he made with Chas (Lucy Pargeter) so that he can go and move Alex’s body…

But his plans are scuppered when Chas becomes suspicious after he arranges for her and Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) to go to a spa for the day. And once her suspicions are aroused, she and Gennie will tail Cameron to see what he’s up to – Chas thinks he could be seeing someone else – but he’ll spot them following him and therefore will detour from this trip to the woods.

However, once that’s resolved, and Chas feels guilty for doubting him, we’ll see Cameron heading to Sparrow Woods under the cover of darkness.

But unbeknownst to him, while he was busy throwing Chas off the trail, Declan was speaking to contractors who said they could start work right away!

Will the workmen find Alex’s body before Cameron can move it? Find out next week!
