Emmerdale star Danny Miller’s 10k run and help from Britain’s Got Talent’s The Mend!
A few weeks ago we reported that former Emmerdale actor Danny Miller, who of course played troubled Aaron livesy in the ITV1 soap, was going to run the Manchester 10k in aid of the charity he co-founded ‘Once Upon A Smile’.
Well the Great Manchester Run took place at the weekend with thousands of participants and we are pleased to announce that Danny, along with other tv stars such as Jack McCullen and Dean Smith from Waterloo Road were in amongst them and made it across the finish line!
Danny made it across in a respectable 59 minutes whilst Waterloo Road star Jack McCullen manged to complete the challenging run in 1hr 4 minutes.
The Once Upon A Smile 10K team, which included many volunteers and fundraisers as well as the telly star participants managed to raise over an amazing £5,000 between them so far with Co-founder Danny attracting just shy of a whopping £2,500 of that number through the masses of fan donations and sponsorships.
The day was such a success that the OUAS team have also entered into the Leeds 10k, which takes place on 8th July and places are still available to join the Once Upon A Smile team and take up a 10k challenge alongside Danny and co to support and raise funds the charity that aims to bring smiles to families that have lost a loved one through long-term illness.
