Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb says, “Fans call me Mucky Moira!”

Emmerdale has its very own big cat lurking on the moors in the form of sexy cougar Moira Barton, who is of course about to embark on a steamy affair with Alex Cross (Kurtis Stacey) who’s young enough to be Moira’s son!

The jammy moo…

And of course, it’s not the first time that man eater Moira has flung off her overalls and wellies with gay abandon for a man, given that she had an affair with village bad lad Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) which led to the breakdown of her marriage to the now deceased John Barton (James Thornton).

While speaking to Inside Soap about her upcoming storylines, Natalie J Robb, who of course plays Moira, revealed that not only do fans call her “Mucky Moira”, so does her boss!

She said, “Since the Cain affair, everyone calls me Mucky Moira – even our producer, Stuart Blackburn!”

And of Moira’s affair with Alex, Natalie said, “It’s great fun to play the fling with Alex because Kurtis is adorable.

“It’s nice to get to do something lighter after all the darkness surrounding John’s death.”

Natalie also revealed that in upcoming episodes, Cain is once again sniffing around Moira, though this time it’s for altruistic purposes, which is not like Cain at all!

Natalie explained, “He’s going to be hanging around because he wants Moira to give Zak a job on the farm, but it’d be tricky for Moira to go there again after what happened.

“That said, Cain did have some kind of hold over her, and I think he has a softer side.

“It’s whether Moira wants the job of finding it!”

Well, apparently, Moira has an issue saying ‘no’ so I’m guessing she’ll probably give it a bash!

Finally, of the show’s live episode later this year, which will mark the soap’s 40th anniversary, Natalie said, “There are a lot of people who are really scared about it!

“But I think it’s a great challenge, and something we should all do once.

“I’m definitely going to be involved, but not in one of the main parts – and I’m quite happy with that!”
