ITV’s official Emmerdale website has exciting news for fans of the show today in that the soap’s bosses are looking for two viewers to audition for the parts of extras who will star in the show’s 40th anniversary episodes.

We have some very exciting news… In celebration of Emmerdale’s 40th birthday this October we are offering two lucky fans, plus one partner each, the chance to be an extra in one of the 40th week episodes!

Just imagine schmoozing with some of your favourite characters on set or in the village whilst also being part of the action. To be honest, it doesn’t get cooler than that…

We’ll cover your travel and accommodation in Leeds for one night as you may be needed for two days’ filming. For your chance to win this, quite frankly, awesome prize, all you have to do is answer a simple question here.

All entrants and their partners/friends must be 18 or over and available to take part in filming between the 13th and the 31st August. The episode will not be shown on air until mid October.

The competition closes at midday on Friday 27th July and winners will be picked at random and contacted shortly after.
