Emmerdale: Weekly Roundup

Kelly Winsdor’s Dreams come true this week as she not only moves into Home Farm, but also gets a proposal of marriage from Jimmy King.

“Kelly may have a colourful track record with men but she really loves Jimmy,” insists Adele Silva, who plays her. “They are really happy… until Debbie spoils the celebrations. Kelly vows to get revenge.”

During the week Kelly hears Matthew and Carl discussing “Jimmy’s proposal” and thinks he must be going to ask her to marry him. “In fact, it’s just a business proposal,” smiles Adele.

“Later, as they walk along the riverbank, she admits to Jimmy she thought he was going to propose. He laughs, and then gets down on one knee, asks her to marry him and stuns her with a big pink diamond ring.

“Kelly is over the moon and accepts. But then he drops the ring in the river. She doesn’t want to search for it – until Jimmy says it’s worth £20,000!

“Her shoes and pashmina can’t come off quickly enough! And there’s a happy ending as they find the ring.

“Kelly insists on throwing a party, only Debbie and Eli gatecrash and ruin everything by giving her and Jimmy matching prison outfits. Kelly is gutted and promises she will get her own back on Debbie.”

Also this week, Meanwhile, Marlon’s guilt about his involvement in the burglary grows when Donna is mocked by Jimmy for her incompetence in preventing the crime. After getting his cut of the cash from Eli, Marlon tells Donna he won the money on a bet. How long can he continue to lie?

There is confusion over the Hope twins godparents as Viv and Bob argue about Kelly and Eddie being the twins’ godparents. Bob still seems unsure of the final decision as he sets off to tell Terry he’s a godfather. Viv tells Donna, Emily and Kelly they’re godmothers, and makes Paddy and Marlon godfathers, but when Paddy tells Eddie the news, Bob realises he’ll have to come clean to Viv. Viv then admits she’s chosen Kelly as a godmother. Will the twins have the longest list of godparents ever?

Perdy confirms Katie’s suspicions and admits she’s pregnant. When she falls from a horse, Katie rushes her indoors. Paul overhears Katie telling Chas about the fall and dashes over to see Perdy, who tells him she’s had a miscarriage. As Perdy’s pain grows worse, Paul takes her to hospital, and asks Jonny to get a message to Gray. When Gray arrives at hospital, he’s told Perdy had an ectopic pregnancy and must undergo a hysterectomy to save her life. Will the troubled couple lose their dream of having children?
