Emmerdale’s Jeff Hordley thinks it would be interesting for Cain to fall for Moira!

Emmerdale favourite bad boy, Jeff Hordley has admitted that he would be interested to see his character, Cain Dingle, fall for Moira Barton properly!

Fans of the hit ITV soap will know that Cain and Moira (Natalie J Robb) began an illicit affair last year, the consequences of which lead to the tragic death of Moira’s husband, John.

However, a year on and now Moira, who publicly despised Cain, has become a rock of support to the troubled Dingle amidst all his family problems, and the spark between them has been ignited once again!

Hordley, who is married to Zoe Henry who plays vet Rhona in the soap in real life, has revealed that this time around his character has more respect for Moira, and hopes he falls in love with the farmer’s widow.

Speaking to Soaplife magazine, he commented: “He was in a really bad place at the time and he was just toying with Moira, playing with her because he could.

“But if things do progress with Moira now, he’ll feel bad about how he treated her.”

“What there still is from that time is the huge attraction.

“They must have been pretty, er, hot in bed. The chemistry sizzles between them. That’s the spark that ignites a possible romance between them.”

He continued: “Cain’s had a terrible year what with Zak attacking him and everything else, and it’s really taken the wind out of his sails. He’s ready for being with someone again.”

Hordley went on to reveal that Cain may actually develop feelings for Moira.

He commented: “That passion or chemistry might lead to a love affair, which I think is always very interesting because, for Cain, it means he opens himself up and becomes very human but also extremely vulnerable.

“That’s a dangerous place for him to be.”
