Emmerdale’s Liam Fox (Lesbian reject Dan) tells all of his character’s womanising ways (and you’ll never guess who he is married to in real life!!)
Emmerdale actor, Liam Payne, who plays the scorned ex husband of lesbian Ali Spencer, Dan, in the hit ITV soap, has opened up for the first time about his characters womanising ways (although he hasn’t got the best track record!)
According to Inside Soap magazine, the actor has claimed that viewers will be treated to more action from his character in the coming months.
Fox – who incidentally is married to Hollyoaks actress Nicole Barber-Lane (Myra McQueen) in real life, arrived as Dan in the Yorkshire village at the end of last year in a bid to win his now lesbian wife, Ali (Kelli Holliss) back.
Now that it has finally become very apparent that Ali is not likely to leave girlfriend, Ruby (Alicya Eyo) any time soon, his eye starts to wander towards the rest of the female population of the village.
First in the line of fire is Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), who despite being way out of his league, is also secretly mending the broken heart caused by Cameron (Dominic Power), her niece Debbie’s (Charley Webb) partner.
Speaking to the magazine, Fox explains:“She definitely catches his eye, though I think he’d be interested in any woman with a pulse, to be honest! The way Dan chats up the fairer sex is unbelievable.”
Fox, who has provided voice overs for several years as well as appearing on shows such as Coronation Street and Cold Feet, then went on to discuss how his current Emmerdale role is the best job he has ever had and how he is looking forward to future storylines for his role:
“I’d like to see Dan have lots of fun. He’s quite a funny character. Maybe he could get into trouble and become involved in some dodgy scam?”
