EMU RETURNS TO CiTV

Following on from the huge success of Emu’s recent return to the small screen, CiTV has commissioned a further 26 episodes of the kid’s comedy series. The series will air on ITV1 on weekends, then repeat weekdays on the CiTV channel.
Aimed at children aged 5- 8 years, the new series of Emu is set in a kid’s Craft Café. Toby Hull (son of the late, great Rod Hull) will return as Emu’s loyal sidekick. Toby and Emu have set up the café for the summer – it’s a place where kids can discover their creativity as well as enjoy some healthy snacks. However, with Emu behind the scenes there is plenty of opportunity for glorious mayhem and mess!
Toby and Emu love running the café, especially hanging out with their new friends, regular customers Georgia and Sam. Plus Toby really likes the craft teacher Kelly- so much so that Emu sometimes gets jealous. But more of a worry is the officious Lee Leach, the council inspector and hater of all animals- especially birds.
This series also sees the introduction of new character- Uncle Peter (played by comedian Peter Piper). Peter is an exciting adventurer who travels the world and comes back with big stories of his adventures.
Executive Producer for Initial Christopher Pilkington says “I’m thrilled to be making another great series of Emu for CiTV. And this time we have a greater setting or visual comedy, a terrific cast, plus the addition of location filming. Emu is let loose in the real world, a unique filming experience!””
