Most American TV shows have been hit badly by the recent writers strike, but ER may have managed to score a whole new season from the ordeal.

At the party to celebrate the shows 300th episode, executive producer John Wells announced that he was in the process of discussing a possible 15th season of the show with NBC, despite plans to end the show FOREVER after the 14th.

The reason for the new series is that only 11 of the 22 planned episodes for series 14 have been written. So the series will most likely end as abruptly as most others, but return for a shorter, but no doubt exciting, season 15!
