Emmerdale actor Chris Chittell has revealed that his character Eric Pollard may not have a long term future with current partner Val, after she manages to lose him £10,000 this week.

Emmerdale entrepreneur, Eric is forcved to close his factory this week due to a lack of orders, however he intends to sell all his remaining equipment for £10,000. His backup plan goes to the wall when Val arranges to have the Dingles steal the booty.

“Well, she’s on borrowed time really,” Chris told MSN. “We mustn’t forget that Pollard doesn’t have blood in his veins, it’s liquid money as far as he’s concerned. He has no heart really, at the end of the day, if push comes to shove, it’s all about survival.”

“Well, he’s a wily old goat,” said Chris. “He’s going to have to think of something. I think he’s going to go back to a hole in the wall where he’s stashed loads of dosh.

“I don’t think he wants to divulge where it is to Valerie, because she may be good in the sack but you don’t know if you can totally trust her.”
