Ever wanted to write for Hollyoaks? Now you can!

Have you ever watched Hollyoaks and thought you could do a better job with the scripts? Have better ideas for what your favourite characters should be getting up to or have a brilliant idea for a new character you’d like to see? Well Hollyoaks are offering YOU the chance to work behind the scenes and join their storylining team!

You may be thinking that you have no chance right? You’re not a television or theatre writer so why would you have a chance? Well Hollyoaks are opening up the opportunity to ANYBODY in a bid to find and nurture new talent, which means that you really do have a chance to be part of the show and help shape it’s future and characters lives!

The show has Storyliner and Assistant Storylining positions to fill and in those roles you’ll be pitching ideas to the producers and writers in conferences, developing and writing stories and doing the all important research to ensure the show is being realistic.

Whilst the Storyliner positions would be more suitable to people who do have an active interest and some experience in writing and storytelling like budding writers or graduates with a relevant degree, the entry level Assistant Storyliner position is designed to be an opportunity for all, it’s open to anyone including you! The only criteria is that you are over 16, have a creative mind and love Hollyoaks! If you can meet that set of criteria then you genuinely have a chance of joining the team and being involved behind the scenes helping to create storylines for the likes of Jacqui McQueen and Brendan Brady!

Now to the application process and this is where your all important creativity and Hollyoaks knowledge is tested! You’ll be required to pick a Hollyoaks character and explain why you love or hate them, then do the same with a past Hollyoaks storyline and finally the exciting bit, the bit I’m sure you’ve all always wanted to do…pitch a brand new detailed storyline for Hollyoaks!

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 8th May and if you are lucky enough to make it past that first round you’ll be invited to a workshop with writers and producers from the show.

So what are you waiting for? Take advantage of this amazing opportunity and go to http://limepictures.com/vacancies/storyliners for the full detailed information and to apply! Good Luck!
