Ex-Corrie star Bruce Jones is “sleeping on floors”

Bruce Jones, who played layabout Les Battersby in Corrie is reportedly destitute, and has been forced to sleep on friends’ floors for the last nine days.

An article in The News of the World today states that Bruce’s luxury home was repossessed, leaving him homeless.

His wife Sandra has also been forced to leave the home they previously shared in Cheshire, and she is apparently staying with relatives.

The £500,000 house was reportedly repossessed following Bruce’s inability to pay debts linked to his property.

He’s also had to leave the rehab clinic where he was being treated for alcohol addiction as it costs £1,000 per week to receive treatment there.

A source said to be close to the couple is quoted in the paper as saying, “It’s a huge mess. Losing his home is a major setback in him putting his life back together.

“He is carrying his belongings from one friend’s home to another so he can get a roof over his head and some food in his stomach.

“Everyone’s really worried about him – he’s spent a bomb on booze and now he’s got nothing.”
