Fergie Defends Her Secret Mission
The Duchess of York has strongly defended her undercover documentary to investigate state-run orphanages in Romania and Turkey.
Turkey’s government has accused her of running a “smudge” campaign by carrying out the filming at a time when Turkey is in negotiations for membership of the European Union.
The Duchess has said that she stands by the investigation’s findings, which were conducted for ITV1’s Tonight programme.
The Press Association quotes her as commenting, “I went as a mum, and I went because those children are silent whispers. And quite frankly I’m very happy with courage to stand by that film.”
The Duchess also remarked that the way some of the children she encountered were treated was, “simply not right in modern-day life”.

If ever the royals can make a difference then its here. Surely we should support and stand beside these people whom only through birth are privelaged individuals. So often isssues like this are side swiped. Its a case of NIMBY. (not in my back yard) Any criticism which the duchess and her beautiful (in the know) daughters receive for this shall be from the very people who have created a society of which the well off hold themselves in very high esteeem, yet none else does (work that one out) They know nothing of the world around them. I admire and support any work which helps the voiceless, vulnerable individuals of this world. Lets start to see the bigger picture eh !!!! Just for once…. Stop thinking of ME,MYSELF and I.
