Fern Britton Quits This Morning!!!!
After 10 years of fronting the show, Fern Britton has quit This Morning!
Britton will present the current series up until its end this July and then leave to spend more time with her family and pursue other projects.
She thanked her This Morning viewers for their “kindness and loyalty” over the years.
Britton said: “After 10 years with This Morning, I have decided to leave the show at the end of the current series. I will present my last show on 17 July, my birthday, which seems somehow appropriate.
“The This Morning team are simply the best and I will miss them all very much but I am looking forward to the freedom of exploring other things I want to do, and also spend more time with my wonderful family.”
Fern’s co-presenter Phillip Schofield said: “I’m obviously very sad that after 10 triumphant years on This Morning Fern has decided to leave the sofa.
“I’ve been lucky enough to work with her for six of those years and can honestly say that they have been amongst the best of my career.
“We have cried together over stories and we have laughed ourselves breathless too. I’m really proud of what we have achieved together on the show.”
Fiona Keenaghan, ITV controller of Daytime and Lifestyle Features, said: “It has been fantastic to have Fern presenting This Morning and we’d like to thank her for the amazing job she has done. She is one of a kind and the team will miss her when she steps down.”
ITV said Britton’s replacement would be announced in “due course”.

no that means no more fern and phil in fits of laughter.
Thee real reason she left is because she annoyed that phillip get more money than her. She only gets £750,000 per year. She must be struggling.
fern does a few hours for alot of money so she shouldnt moan. she earns more money then people who have a proper job working alot of hours and get less money then she gets.
i also meant to say she said shes leaving cause its been ten year she been on the show and that she feels its time she left weather thats the truth or not. the show will not be the same with out fern and her and phils fits of laughter.
torvill and dean should take over from fern and phil how brillant would that be iam going to email itv to see if they would get torvill and dean to do this morning maybe they could enter the show by ice skater like they do on dancing on ice.

if fern is leaving to be with her family more well when she does this morning her children are at school and when this morning ends at twelve something her children are still at school unless she meant when its the summer holidays but why dont she just work on this morning after the summer holidays.

I have watched This Morning from time to time an being a man must say that Fern will be a “massive” loss to the programme, indeed in all honesty i feel that Mr Schofield is massively overrated(mainly by him) not only on this programme but also on others. Regards.

on twitter phil says stop writting to this morning about who should have ferns job. he says that he will have the choice who will have ferns job. cant the viewers who watch this morning say who they want to see take ferns job after all if it wasnt for the viewers there wouldnt be the itv this morning and phil wouldnt get two million

all this fuss over wages i think its disgusting that they get all this money
they want to live in the real world.all we hear about is people who earn and
have millions but its never enough.i think they call it greed.
i just hope with all the money they have they look after there parents.ha.ha.
I think Jane Mcdonald would be a great replacement for Fern, she has a really warm personality, and is funny and comes over as really genuine, I think the public would warm to her. I think she is one of the best on loose women.
