This Morning presenter, Fern Britton has revealed that she was the victim of a hideous sex attack when she was just twenty one years old.

The Daily Mail have published an excerpt of her new autobiography, My Life by Fern Britton
, to be published next month.

Fern wrote:

“Like everyone else in the city I had a bike, and one day I was on my way somewhere when two small dogs ran across my path into the road. They were obviously lost, so I took them into the police station.”

She said: “A day or two later, I dropped in to see what had happened to them. ‘A gentleman came to collect them,’ said the duty sergeant. ‘He would like to thank you personally and asked for your phone number.’”

A couple of days later Britton said she received a call from the dogs owner who invited Brittonto dinner and arranged to pick her up at her flat.

She arrived at the lounge where the man was on the floor doing press-ups wearing only orange Y-fronts.

“My first thought was that it was a joke, but within seconds my ‘Ha! Ha!’ turned into ‘Oh, God’ … before I knew what was happening he was up on his feet and trying to kiss me – pushing me against the wall, then down on to the floor.”

The man pinned her down, ignoring her cries, she said. The ordeal continued throughout the night.
