Some Official Charts facts for you all now. The classic pop duet is only the 154th track in UK chart history to join the one million sales club – and it’s the second for Kylie.

Her 2001 smash-hit ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ is also a member of the million sellers’ club on the Official Singles Chart – while it’s a first for Jason Donovan.

For Pete Waterman, the man behind Steps’ hits ‘Tragedy’ and ‘Heartbeat’ , this new landmark gives him his second million-selling single – his first was back in 1999.

Pete spoke about the record and confessed that it almost never existed: “we mixed it – then scrapped it – started a new one with only the vocals, had 6 hours to do it all, mix it , and get it to the factory!”

Back in 1988 when the track was first released, it seemed like it would score the Christmas Number 1 but it was Cliff Richard’s ‘Mistletoe and Wine’ that kept the duo from the top.

However, the track did go onto become the first Number 1 single of 1989 and remained top of the charts for three weeks.
