Fiona Phillips Thinks Amanda Redman’s Job Is Safe
Fiona Phillips has admitted that she was galled to read that Amanda Redman feared losing acting roles due to her age.
The New Tricks star claimed that TV bosses only cared about:
“the young and the beautiful”.
Writing in her column for The Mirror, Phillips commented: “How sad to read that delicious Amanda Redman fears she could lose out on top jobs because of her age.”
The former GMTV host said Redman was right when she claimed “people do get interesting as they grow older”.
She added: “And in the case of the devastatingly sexy Ms Redman, more beautiful too. I think her job’s safe.”
