FlashForward producer Marc Guggenheim has revealed some details of Dominic Monaghan’s character, just weeks aead of the show’s launch.

Speaking to E! Online, Guggenheim described Monaghan’s Simon as ‘the most intelligent man in the world.’

“Dominic Monaghan’s character Simon is the smartest man in the world, and he definitely knows it,” he said. “He’s mysterious, but not just for story reasons. He’s a mysterious kind of person.

“He’s someone that’s so intelligent that he has a difficult time interfacing with people on a human level, because he’s just so much smarter than them. He’s an enigmatic figure whom I hope you’ll want to get to know over the course of the first season.”

FlashForward is launches in America on Thursday, September 24. In the UK, it has been picked up by Five but not official start date has been announced.
