American rockers the Foo Fighters have a busy few months ahead of them with the launch of their new eighth studio album ‘Sonic Highways‘, and we can’t help but think… tour!?

Ahead of that they’re coming to the UK to perform at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in London later this month but could another show be in the pipeline?

The Invictus Games is an event for wounded soldiers to showcase their skills in a variety of events including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball and indoor rowing.

Prince Harry launched the games earlier this year and the line-up for the closing ceremony was announced shortly after with a host of huge musical stars.

Other than the Foo Fighters, The Vamps, Ellie Goulding, the Kaiser Chiefs, Rizzle Kicks, the Military Wives and many more will close the ceremony on the 14th of September.

However, the Foo Fighters have taken to Twitter to tease their fans that another show while they’re in the UK could be in the pipeline.

Taking to Twitter last night they posted a photo (seen below) and said: “Michael and Freddy think it would be a shame to just do one show while we’re in the UK… ”

Of course the Michael and Freddie they are talking about refers to the photo shown on their drum kit, don’t worry, they haven’t got any new members that you don’t know about.

Following the tweet the internet exploded with many twitter users yelling “WHAT?” as the talk of another show hadn’t been discussed and it’s not everyday they’re here in the UK.

As we said, Foo Fighters will release their new album ‘Sonic Highways’ on the 10th of November with a special TV series airing on HBO on the 17th of October.

The eight part TV series will air on HBO and will showcase the recording process of this new album as the band visit eight studios across the US – check out the trailer below.
