In Forgotten Heroes: The Not Dead , the award-winning combination of director Brian Hill and poet Simon Armitage ( Feltham Sings , Songbirds ) explore the profound human cost of fighting and killing, through the stories of three veterans who have fought in wars spanning six decades. Intimate interviews and poetry based on the lives of, and recited by, the veterans reveals how they have been shattered by war. These are the soldiers it’s easy to forget on Remembrance Day.

Is it possible to obtain a copy of the words of the poem. ‘The not dead’.
My two sons were in the armed forces and I found the poem and the programme extremely moving.

i have seen this documantry on the international documentary festival in amsterdam and i think this is a great documentary, now for school i need to make a documentary myself and i want to do this in the style of this documentary.but where can i get the DVD/movie so that i can watch it again>?
I watched the documentry “The Undead” and it was one of the most moving things I think I have watched in a long time. As a serving Serviceman (20 years) and the son of a Falklands Island veteran, I feel so much for the men and can only wish them all the best for the future.
I saw the Undead programme and would love a copy of the poems featured.As a soldier of the 1st Gulf and generally as an squaddie they were such beautiful poems
