Former EastEnders star Lacey Turner was left terrified by her role in Bedlam!
Fans of EastEnders will of course recall actress Lacey Turner in her role as Stacey Slater, who was feisty, fearless and uncompromisingly brave as she dealt with one trauma after another in her young life…
However, since leaving the show, Lacey has gone on to star in hit paranormal drama Bedlam – the second series of which begins on Sky Living on Wednesday 6 June at 10:00pm – and the experience of playing paramedic Ellie, who, as the phrase goes, sees dead people, left her terrified when she returned home after filming.
The Daily Star reports that Lacey said, “I’m scared of everything, even my own shadow. I’m the biggest weed you’ll ever meet.
“I was at an awards ceremony once and there was just no one behind me and I just felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and there was no one there…”
Lacey, who left EastEnders two years ago – added that it’s the special effects on the show are which make it so frightening.
She said, “I’m living in a flat on my own and I check under my bed.
“I was lying in bed the other day and some lunatic came along and banged on the door at 3.30 in the morning.
“You think you’d go to the door and be like, ‘Do you mind?’ I didn’t, I froze.”
