Former GMTV weather girl Clare Nasir to air the story of her amazing weight loss!

Fans of the now – sadly – defunct GMTV will probably remember weather girl Clare Nasir, whose weight tended to go up and down a little during the ten years she was with the show.

However, Clare, who began her GMTV career in 2000 when she stood in for resident weather girl Andrea McLean, blossomed rather too much when she left the show in 2010, and some pretty horrifying pictures of her working out appeared in tabloids last year.

It was, says Clare, those pictures that forced her to take a good hard look at her diet and exercise regime, and to ultimately decide to lose weight and up her general fitness level.

And as you can see in the above before-and-after pic, the girl done good! So good in fact that Clare Nasir’s Body Transformation, which chronicles the radical change in her shape, is to air on Monday at 7.30pm on The Active Channel Sky 281…

40 year old Clare apparently began to pile on weight after the birth of her daughter Sienna, and found it hard to shift post-pregnancy.

She told The Sun, “It’s a shock to the system being a mother for the first time, and the last thing you are thinking about is, is that a good salad or should I have chips tonight?”

Well, evidently, for a while, chips won, but with the help of a personal trainer and a diet plan, Clare dropped from a size 16 to a tiny size 6.

Here’s a clip of Clare showing off her new baby on GMTV…

Of ‘that’ photo – the one top left – Clare said, “I still feel emotional when I see that photo.

“I wasn’t in a good place then, although I was exercising and trying to shift the pounds.

“But there was a lot of denial that goes on for a while and I don’t think it was until I saw that photo I realised how bad I looked with very few clothes on.

“So I really disciplined myself and it was a 24/7 kind of thing and it was healthy eating and a lot of exercise.

“I was doing boxing which is a great way of exercising.”

Here’s a sneak peek look at Clare’s show…

Do you have any stories of amazing weight loss to share? Personally, and sadly, I only have tales of weight gain…
