Freema Agyeman will be returning to Doctor Who this year.

Her character, Martha Jones will be appearing in the four TV specials of the show which will mark the end of David Tennant’s time on the show.

A Doctor Who insider told The Sun: “Freema’s on board. It’s early days so it’s unclear what exactly Martha will be up to in the new show.

“Whatever happens it’s good news for Freema and shows that whatever friction there was between her and Who bosses has gone.”

I had assumed that after Freema let the BBC down last year, after pulling out of spin-off show Torchwood, to appear on a rival ITV show, she would be blacklisted from any further Doctor Who appearances. Obviously the Beeb are more forgiving than I would give them credit for!
