Doctor Who star, Freema Agyeman started off in small ITV soap, Crossroads and has admitted that she may one day consider returning to her soap roots.

The actress told MSN: “You know soap was my first telly job and I learned massive amounts.

“When I got onto set, it was the terms, they’d say ‘Freema, we’re gonna do a wild track now’ and I remember thinking, with my heart pounding ‘I don’t know what that means’, and then you’d get to your dressing room and there’d be a big pile of rewrites so you’d have to learn how to pick up lines quickly.”

Freema adds: “It was a brilliant place to learn, and then moving on to telly you learn different things and at a different pace.

When asked if she would consider returning to soap acting, she said: “Do you know what? I want to do a bit of everything, but never say never.”

Freema is among the cast of new ITV1 drama Law And Order UK which kicks off on Monday, February 23.
