Fringe Coming To Sky One: Watch This GREAT Clip!!!!

This October, Sky1 welcomes the brand new creation from the minds of J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the team behind the upcoming Star Trek feature, LOST and Alias. Starring newcomer Anna Torv (Mistresses), Josh Jackson (Dawson’s Creek, Bobby), John Noble (Lord of The Rings: The Return of the King) and Lance Reddick (Lost, The Wire), FRINGE will thrill, terrify and explore the blurring line between science fact and fiction.

The story begins as an international flight lands at Boston’s Logan Airport with passengers and crew all having met grisly deaths. FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham (Torv) is called in to investigate. When the search nearly kills her partner, Special Agent John Scott (Mark Valley, Boston Legal, ER), a desperate Olivia searches frantically for someone to help and she is led to scientific researcher Dr. Walter Bishop (Noble). There’s only one catch: he’s been institutionalized for the last 20 years and the only way to question him requires calling on his estranged son, Peter (Jackson), for help. Under Special Agent Phillip Broyles (Reddick), the trio discover that what happened on that fatal flight is only a small piece of a larger, more shocking truth, rooted in the idea of controversial ‘fringe science’.

FRINGE promises to be a unique take on the exploration of paranormal phenomena, with action-packed sequences and intriguing insights into activity beyond the realms of scientific explanation. One of the co-creators, Roberto Orci, commented that FRINGE “took its inspiration from The X-Files”, but will wholly “differentiate through the characters”, and be a whole-new take on the genre. J.J. Abrams explained that the series was “an experiment” for him in comparison to his past TV creations – rather than require dedication week in week out from the viewer, it can be dipped in and out of due to each episode having a beginning, middle and an end. He said, “We believe FRINGE has an overall story and we know its end game. You don’t have to watch episodes one, two and three to watch episode four. But, if you want to track the big bad guy and the overarching story, you can do that, too.”

Imagine the impossibilities…. FRINGE begins only on Sky1 and Sky1 HD in early October 2008.
