Fringe: Joshua Jackson Was Unsure About TV Return

Joshua Jackson has revealed that he was unsure about returning to TV in J.J. Abrams TV show, Fringe.

Joshua took a five year TV break after starring as Pacey Whitter in teen drama, Dawson’s Creek and after that experience wasn’t sure about making such a huge commitment again.

“I was never really convinced completely that I wanted to come back and work in television because it’s such a massive undertaking,” MSN quote him as saying.

“Coming back is just a huge amount of work. I know now the type of commitment that it takes to make something good over the course of years and all the variables that goes into it. Making a good television show is very difficult – it takes a lot of dedication, a lot of time, hard work and that little extra something to make a show good.”

Joshua is currently dating actress Diane Kruger, and admitted that their relationship was a big factor consideration when he though about a return .

“I’m part of a couple now so it’s not just my own decision any more. To ask somebody to move with me to New York is a big deal,” he said.

“It wasn’t a snap decision. It wasn’t as easy as it was when I was 18 – it’s a different calculation at 30. But you couldn’t really ask for a better group of people. It took a while for me to convince myself, and it took them a little bit of enticing to get me.”

Fringe is shown every Sunday at 9pm on Sky1 and Sky1 HD.
