Game Of Thrones marathon planned before season two finale – plus new season 3 characters revealed *SPOILERS*

Game Of Thrones is coming to an end, well for it’s second season anyway, and if you have missed any episodes and live in the US then you need to get to a TV this weekend.

The tenth and final episode of the second series will air on HBO on Sunday evening (and in the UK on Sky Atlantic on Monday 4th June) and for any fans who need a recap in the storylines so far, HBO Zone have planned a weekend marathon with all preceding nine episodes being aired back to back.

The special session of reruns begins on Saturday, June 2 at 6 p.m, and all of the installments will air back to back three times, coming to an end just before the new episode airs at 9PM.

It’s a great opportunity to catch parts of the season which you might have missed or just to refresh your memory and get yourself in the mood for the last new piece of Game Of Thrones footage you will see in 2012.

Thankfully, HBO have already confirmed that they have renewed the fantasy drama for a third season and filming starts this month in Northern Ireland.

There will be a whole host of new characters for the new series, following on from the novels the TV show is based on.

We have a list of the new faces we can expect to see, though it has not yet been revealed which actors will take on the role. Expect casting news to follow in June/July.
