Game of Thrones nominated for four Television Critics’ Association 2011 awards
We got so caught up in reporting about the Game Of Thrones season finale yesterday, that we managed to miss the fact that the drama has been nominated for a raft of new awards.
The nominees for this year’s Television Critics’ Association awards were revealed on Wednesday 15th June and the critically acclaimed HBO drama has received four nods.
It is tied as most nominated show with Justified and Parks and Recreation, who also also received four nominations.
Game Of Thrones is named in the best drama, best new program, best performance (Peter Dinklage) and program of the year categories.
A ceremony announcing the winners will be conducted on August 6th. The full list of nominees can be found at the TCA’s official site.
We think this is just the start of what will be a triumphant awards season for the show in 2011/2012.
