It’s been reported today that actor Sean Bean – who has of course starred in innumerable TV shows and films, including Sharpe, Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings – has been arrested on suspicion of harassing his former wife.

Sean, who’s been married four times, allegedly sent abusive texts to Georgina Sutcliffe, and it was also alleged that he’d bombarded her with unwanted phone calls.

53 year old Sean was arrested in London yesterday, but was later released on bail.

The Sun reports that police have been called to the home Sean and Georgina shared three times due to “disturbances”. The couple divorced in December 2010.

Sean – who was born Shaun Mark Bean – married his first wife, Debra James, in 1981, but they divorced in 1988. Sean then met and later married Melanie Hill, with whom he has two daughters, Lorna and Molly.,,

He and Melanie divorced in August of ’97, and that same year – in November – he married Abigail Cruttenden, with whom he had another daughter, Evie Natasha.

However, they also divorced in 2000, and Sean then married Georgina in February 2008, having previously cancelled their wedding the night before it was due to take place in January 2008, citing “personal reasons” for calling it off.
