Oh let joy be unconfined! The dazzlingly fabulous George Clooney will reprise his role as Dr Doug Ross for the final episode of ER which will air in the US on April 2nd

The show will be an hour long “retrospective” and will feature old and new footage of George as Doug.

In case you’ve forgotten how magnificent he was in ER, here’s a clip to remind you. It’s the moment when he finds out that the love of his life Carol is engaged to someone else…

We’ll also get to see Anthony Edwards again as Dr Mark Greene. His death in season 8 had me in floods of tears at the time!

No doubt as ER comes to an end, I’ll be needing an industrial sized box of tissues.
