George Lamb to host game show ‘The Bank Job’ on Channel 4!

by Lynn Connolly

Channel 4 have just announced that the rather edible George Lamb is to host a new game show entitled, The Bank Job.

Launching in the first week of January, the new show will be aired live from an actual bank vault in London, and across six consecutive nights, contestants have the chance to walk away with life changing amounts of money.

In each round of the game, twenty-five safety deposit boxes containing different amounts of money can be won by answering general knowledge questions.

However, the competitors’ time in the vault is limited, so they face a big dilemma’ stay in the vault and get more cash, or leave before their time’s up and face losing out on thousands…

On the final night of the live shows, the winners from the five live editions will return, and, with the money they’ve already won pooled together, they’ll compete one last time in a winner takes it all finale.

Described by C4 as, “a TV event” the show is accompanied by an online game, which launched last week.

Of the show, George said, “I’m super happy to be back at Channel 4, working on such an exciting and ground-breaking live show.

“If you cross an edge-of-your-seat game show with Ocean’s Eleven and add a twist of real-time viewing then you’ve got The Bank Job.”
