Former Wham singer, George Michael, has revealed that he spends hours a week catching up with all the gossip in Albert Square and Coronation Street and has said that he would love to land a cameo role in either soap.

George said: “It would be a great place to learn to act. My favourite [Coronation Street] character is Blanche Hunt, who is played by Maggie Jones.

“When you’re as old as her you can get away with saying anything.”

Somehow I just can’t see it ….can you?
