Popworld presenter, Alexa Chung, admitted that she was very nervous about the prospect of working with such a comedic legend as Ben Elton, for their new show, Get A Grip, which launches on ITV1 tonight.

However she soon got over her nerves when she realised how down to earth and personable Ben really is.

“It’s been amazing working with Ben,” said Alexa, “He is not how I expected – he’s much friendlier and more mellow.

“I thought he would be really manic and I thought that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with him.”

Get A Grip is a brand new type of comedy show. Ben has teamed up with Popworld’s queen of cool to create a new weekly observational comedy series which sticks it’s head above the parapet of 21st Century Britain, sticks it’s head straight back down again and screams “Get A Grip”

Tonights show will take a look at the recent trend towards conspiracy theories and even broaches the subject of Princess Diana’s death.
