Girls Aloud Christmas Special
Cheryl Cole’s group, Girls Aloud, will be taking part in an ITV special at Christmas.
The girls will film ‘The Girls Aloud Party’, in which they’ll be singing, dancing and acting out sketches.
They’ll also interview celebrities including Take That, and they’ll debut their Christmas single.
“This year has been great for us and what better way to round it off than a festive special,” band member Sarah Harding told The Sun. “The show will be a Girls Aloud Christmas party and loads of fun.”
ITV has apparantly agreed a “substantial payment” for the band, with an inside source saying, “The girls are like family to ITV and we’d do anything to stop them going to another channel. They started their career here on Popstars: The Rivals and the public loves them.
“They want people to see another side of them which is why they’ve agreed to do the show. They have more ambitions than just singing and this is a great showcase for them. Sarah in particular wants to be an actress.”
The source further added, “Also, it gives them a chance to show Charlotte Church how it’s done. That rivalry’s still there and they’re really stepping on her toes with this.”
