This march sees Glee celebrate its 100th episode milestone and two fan favourite guest stars will be returning in the form of Kristin Chenoweth and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The pair guest starred as April Rhodes and Holly Holliday, respectively and at one point or another, the pair have been love interests for Matthew Morrison’s character, Will Schester, so what could that mean for the 100th bonanza?
Chenoweth has said that she and Paltrow get to spend a lot of time together on set and they both have big songs to perform.
Speaking to E! News at the 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year event, Chenoweth said: “I get to do a lot with Gwyneth Paltrow. We are reprising out guest starring roles and that makes it really fun. We’re having a good time”.
But one thing she forgot about doing the shows is how much time it takes up, as the filming days are pretty long and exhausting.
She added: “The hours, I always forget how long and crazy they are, singing and dancing about. But, [It’s] fun being back with the cast”.
Elsewhere, Jane Lynch who plays Sue Sylvester recently told the outlet that she has also worked with both Chenoweth and Paltrow on the two-part episode, adding that “Kristin’s a ball”.
“I worked with both of them yesterday. We did a scene together,” she said “It was so great to have them back. They’re so much fun. Kristin’s a ball. They both have songs, not with me!”
We also know that the special 100th milestone will address the death of Cory Monteith’s character, Finn Hudson.
Director of the two-part special, Paris Barclay explained to Us Weekly: “I don’t think it could go much farther without continuing to talk about how that hurts. There is so much feeling there and it affected the Glee family in such a profound way, and you can expect it to be dealt with in the 100th episode. It definitely comes back and is dealt with in a significant way”.
Glee returns following its winter break on February 25. The special two-part 100th episode celebrations will air on March 18 and March 25.
