Glee: Britney Spears manager furious over new tribute episode.

X Factor US judge, Britney Spears’ long-time manager Larry Rudolph is reportedly “livid” with Glee’s latest tribute episode.

The episode, aired this week in the states, entitled ‘Britney 2.0′ focusses on Brittany (Heather Morris) as she began her new year at McKinley High School by getting kicked out of the Cheerios due to poor grades.

In the episode the show features a breakdown, which is suspiciously similar to the one Britney publicly went through a few years, with  Brittany attacking a high school journalist with an umbrella as well as showing a lack of interest during a performance.

Back in 2007, Spears attacked a photographer’s car with an umbrella. then a few months later, she gave a very questionable  performance of ‘Gimme More’ at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Billy Bush revealed on Access Hollywood that Rudolph, who was not aware that Glee would recreate Spears’s public breakdown, was left furious at the resemblance to that of his client, according to Digital Spy.

Bush shared: “I can tell you that Britney’s manager, Larry, is livid. He’s not happy.”

In 2010, Glee gave a rather more flattering tribute to the pop singer.

Glee’s airs Thursdays at 9pm ET directly after Spears’s own show, The X Factor USA, at 8pm on Fox. X Factor also airs on Wednesdays at 8pm ET.
