Last week Glee creator Ryan Murphy confessed that following Season 6 of the hit show it would all come to an end.
One reason could be surrounding the death of Cory Monteith back in July who played the popular Finn in the show.
Singer and actress Naya Rivera who plays Santana Lopez on the hit U.S show also spoke out about Glee coming to an end and that it’s ran its course.
Naya Rivera has been playing Santana Lopez on Glee since the show first began back in May of 2009 but with everything – it all has to end somewhere.
The beauty recently spoke with Elle magazine about her time on the show and while she’s loved the experience she knows it must come to an end soon:
“We’ve had an amazing run on this show, and so whenever it ends, it has to end. Unfortunately, it can’t go on forever. But, I’m just really grateful that I was on it for this long.”
Naya also commented on the news where creator Ryan Murphy (pictured above) confessed the show would end after its sixth season: “We always kind of knew that.”
Ryan Murphy (who also co-created American Horror Story) has also spoken about the end of Glee and believes that it must end after the end of the next season (the show is currently in its fifth season).
Speaking at an event honouring America’s FX Networks in LA last Wednesday (October 16th) he said he knows how the show will end:
“The final year of the show, which will be next year, was designed around Rachel and Cory/Finn’s story.”
He continued: “I always knew that, I always knew how it would end. I knew what the last shot was – he was in it. I knew what the last line was – she said it to him.”
“So when a tragedy like that happens, you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we’re figuring that out now.”
