Thanksgiving has been and gone and yet another trailer from next week’s Christmas episode of Glee has landed online.
Yesterday, the TV spot for the festive episode surfaced online following the Thanksgiving episode, however today it’s the turn of a Behind the Scenes video which sees the Glee cast auditioning for a live nativity set.
Alex Newall who plays the role of Unique says: “This scene that we’re doing now is a living nativity and I am the angel Gabriel… I should have been the Virgin Mary, but it’s fine!”
Becca Tobin who plays the role of Kitty also explains that Kitty gets the chance to break out during Away in a Manger as her character plays the role of the Virgin Mary in the nativity set.
Elsewhere, we have Blake Jenner’s Ryder as a shepherd and Jacob Artist’s Jake plays Joseph. Jenna Ushkowitz rocks a fake mustache as her character Tina plays the role of one of the three wise men and Lauren Potter’s Becky stands in as the face of Baby Jesus.
At the end of the behind the scenes video, we see the cast members singing classic holiday songs with a fun twist, and what’s more, the full audio of each of the Christmas classics have also surfaced online for you all to listen to.
In the trailer that was released yesterday, we see Kurt (Chris Colfer), Santana (Naya Rivera) and Rachel (Lea Michele) dressed up as elves…
The trio end up helping out at the local mall working as Santa’s elves, but Santa isn’t exactly the nicest man in town as he rips into Kurt for looking directly at him.
“Don’t ever look directly at me again…” Santa tells Kurt.
However, being an elf is a very tiring and demanding job and Santana is feeling it. So, she takes it upon herself to have a little break to soak in the tub! She tells Rachel: “[I’m] taking a much needed break. It is exhausting playing a slutty elf”.
Back at McKinley High, Sue Sylvester doesn’t look to be getting into the Christmas spirit – but then again, when does Sue ever get involved in festivities? They might have to chase her down the corridor again but this time, singing Christmas carols.
The rest of the Glee club are getting into the Christmas spirit as they decorate the rehearsal room with a nativity set and a Christmas tree whilst singing ‘Rocking around the Christmas Tree’.
Sue Sylvester will introduce the episode as the Christmas episode that FOX didn’t allow to air last Christmas.
Elsewhere, the likes of ‘Here Comes Santa Claus’, ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’, ‘Mary’s Little Boy Child’, ‘The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)’, ‘Love Child’ and ‘Away in a Manger’ will all be performed on the Christmas spectacular.
Following on from that, Glee will take a break for a couple of months before returning in February, 2014.
The Christmas episode will airs on Thursday, December 5 at 9/8c on FOX.
