Glee season 3 news: Chord Overstreet out, Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr promoted!
Some bad and some good news today for Gleeks everywhere.
The ridiculously handsome Chord Overstreet (the one with the big lips) will not be back as a regular cast member on Glee next year. The option to pick up the 22 year old actor was not taken by Fox bosses TV Line reports, however that doesn’t mean we’ll never see him again.
Chord of course played Sam Evans in season two of the hit musical drama and insiders have claimed that he may return on a guest starring basis during the third run, depending on storylines.
However, the news is better for fans of Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr. The actors portray high school students Blaine Anderson and Mike Chang respectively and sources claim that both young men have been added to the Glee cast as regulars.
And this won’t be the end of the cull, fans can expect to wave a teary goodbye to more characters during season three, as some of the seniors graduate and leave McKinley High.
Getting ready for this exodus, show bosses will introduce new characters in the early part of the series, including the one who is described as “Adele meets Susan Boyle”.
