Glee season 4 spoilers: Apparently Amber Riley isn’t leaving…but Dianna Agron hints that she is!

Amber Riley as Mercedes Jones in Glee Season 3

Amber Riley has denied reports that she is leaving Glee, saying recent comments she made were taken out of context.

The 26 year year old actress – best known as Mercedes from the hit Fox musical drama – tweeted earlier this week, seemingly confirming that she was one of the stars not returning for the fourth season of the show. She wrote:

“That’s a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I’ve known day in and day out for three years.”

“I’m going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday! I have so many brothers and sisters now 🙂 But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation! SCHOOL’S OUT Glee Kids! Let’s play!”

She added: “Stay tuned to see what’s next for Mercedes.”

We read that and automatically assumed that Mercedes would be one of the stars who wouldn’t return to McKinley High after graduation, however, Amber says people have jumped to the wrong conclusion.

We aren’t sure if she had second thoughts about her tweet or if show bosses warned her over her revelations, but the star later took to twitter again adding:

“My tweet apparently has been misconstrued.”

“I was not confirming I was leaving the show. Just stating that I would miss being in the classroom everyday with the cast and that would be changing. Thanks for the support guys.”

“That’s the good and bad thing about twitter. It can be used to extinguish rumors but it also spreads them like wildfire!”

We’re not sure if we buy Amber’s explanation, it sounds like a bit of a cover up to us…

Dianna Agron as Quinn Fabray in Glee Season 3

Meanwhile, after Jane Lynch hinted last week that Dianna Agron would be leaving Glee, the blonde beauty also seemed to confirm the news on Twitter this week.

She posted a message which read very like a goodbye to the series and her cast mates, writing:

“I don’t know all that is to come, but I know what a day like this means. Four years of love, light & support. To the cast, crew & creators,” so read her post. “And to all of you that have shown your love along the way. We just can’t thank you enough. This has always been a very surreal experience.”

Matthew Morrison recently revealed that a number of long running cast members would not be back for the fourth run of Glee next year and revealed that the producers had some huge storylines up their sleeves for the last few episodes if the third season, as a way of saying goodbye to the familiar faces.

Meanwhile, we have some great spoilers, pictures and clips from the next two episodes in the series here, in which the New Directions finally get their chance to shine at Nationals.

Do you think we will be saying a fond farewell to Quinn and Mercedes in a few weeks time? Leave your comments below…

Dianna is beautiful, talented and above all a genuine person. Dianna should become a psychologist, since she already knows her potential clients. She should get out of there before she becomes as narcissistic as the rest. I definitely did not watch Glee for Finn, Rachel or Kurt. They do not inspire me in the least there is no spunk. Without the rest of the cast season 4 will be like watching paint dry. No Thanks.
