Glee star Nava Rivera has joined a host of female celebrities, including Jennifer Morrison, Clare Bowen and Christa Miller, taking part in a special naked photo shoot for Allure magazine.
Rivera, who plays Santana on the hit US teen musical drama show, can be seen in the magazine posing with her legs crossed and her arms covering her breasts.
Speaking in behind the scene footage the actress admitted to the publication that she had no reservations about stripping for the shoot, explaining:
“I was not nervous about posing nude today…I was excited more than anything else”
Meanwhile Claire Bowen, who can be seen with a tea towel protecting her modesty, agreed, saying that she found the whole experience “quite nice” being outside with nothing on.
Cougar Town star Christa Miller, however, admitted that she was slightly nervous, saying: “I thought I was cool about it and then I started getting nervous this morning. I did pick a fight with my husband this morning for no reason.”
“The second we started, no one seemed to care. No one seemed to care that I had no clothes on so then I got over it very quickly.”
House star, Jennifer, added:
“It hasn’t been a conscious choice, but they don’t really come my way. Maybe this shoot will change that. I’ve always been an active person, and working out is part of my life.”
Meanwhile Rivera’s Glee co-star, Lea Michelle, has revealed that fans are in for a treat for the series finale, which she teased, will include a “huge cliff-hanger.”
The actress, who plays Rachel Berry in the hit show, has recently come out and thanked fans for their support after her co-star boyfriend, Cory Monteith, whose character Finn returned from army life to take over as coach of the New Directions, recently admitted himself to rehab for substance abuse.
Taking to social networking site Twitter to discuss the finale, the star tweeted to fans:
“Just finished reading the final script of #Glee for this season! So many shockers and huge cliff-hangers!”
As we reported earlier this month, one of the surprises expected in this season’s finale will be the proposal from Blaine (Darren Criss) to his boyfriend Kurt (Chris Colfer), but whether his answer will be the cliff-hanger remains to be seen!
Meanwhile, as we reported yesterday, the writers and cast of Glee came under criticism earlier this week after Monday’s episode, Shooting Star, saw the New Directions hiding in the choir room after gunfire could be heard in the school corridors.
Families of the victims and survivors of high-school shooting, similar to the one depicted in the episode, were angered at not being asked for input with regards to the scenes, which never featured an actual gunman or violence only the fear felt by the kids which, we think, was a very sensitive and effective way to portray such a terrifying ordeal, claiming that the show had glamorised and over dramatized the storyline.
Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester in the show, hit back defending the show and now Lea Michelle has taken to Twitter to do the same, saying:
“Such a moving a powerful episode tonight . . . Made me so proud to be a part of this show”, whilst her co-star Matt Morrison added:
“Really proud of the cast! Great acting on tonight’s episode!”
Do you think the storyline was inappropriate, or do you think that the cast and crew should be commended for the handling of such a controversial and delicate subject? Watch the full scene in the clip and leave your thoughts and comments below:
