Gordon Brown cries during Piers Morgan Life Stories interview
Gordon Brown has become the third celebrityperson to break down in tears during a TV interview this week. Following in the footsteps of Peter Andre and Alastair Campbell, Brown had his emotional moment during the recording of his interview with Piers Morgan for his ‘Life Stories’ series.
The Prime Minister broke down as he talked about the death of his 10 day old baby daughter Jennifer Jane. She died in the arms of her parents at Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary, as the result of a brain haemorrhage in 2002.
During the interview in front of a studio audience, Gordon’s wife Sarah reportedly also became tearful during the recording.
Brown also spoke of his agony when he realised that his three-year-old son Fraser may have a “poor life expectancy”. Fraser has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
Some commentators have claimed that Gordon Brown has crossed a line with his Piers Morgan interview and has blurred the lines between politics and celebrity.
Tony Blair’s former director of communications Alastair Campbell, argued that it would be good for the public to see Mr Brown being “utterly authentic,” and thinks it can only help Gordon if people see his more “human side.” Listen to his other views on the interview in the clip below.

Another reason for not accepting an interview with the gormless boasting Morgan.
He boasted that he sold billions of copies of the Daily Mirror during his tenure as editor. What he didnt tell you was that sales declined under his editorship.
