Things are hotting up in the Upper East Side of New York, as the series five finale of Gossip Girl draws ever closer.

We brought you some great news and spoilers from the upcoming episode ‘The Fugitives’ earlier today – you really should check them out – and tonight, a new promo video has been released, giving a little more insight into an emerging storyline between Blair and Serena.

In the video, Blair sits quietly by as Queen B rants about Dan’s decision to turn down the chance to join a prestigious writing programme in Italy, because he doesn’t trust her not to succumb to her not so secret feelings for Chuck.

Miss Waldorf rants:

“Dan turned down the chance to spend the summer in Rome with the world’s literature lumineres and do you know why? Because he’s scared of leaving me here with Chuck! Can you believe it?”

Serena looks relieved though, that what’s concerning Blair has nothing to do with her and just before her pal started her rant, it seemed that the blonde beauty was about to confess to something.

She can hide nothing from her best gal pal though and it’s not long before B spots S’ ‘grade c+’ lie. We wonder what it could be.
