Following in the footsteps of her big sister, soap favourite Katherine Kelly, this week sees up-and-coming young actress Grace Kelly film her Doctors debut.

Grace has just completed two busy days filming for Episode 30, Out Of Control, which is due to be aired on BBC One on Monday 18 May 2009.

In the episode Grace plays Sarah Copland, a bright but terribly naive student on the verge of self-destruction. A difficult childhood drove Sarah to drink but, eventually escaping those demons, she has now come to Letherbridge University with the dream of becoming a nurse. But on becoming friends with the controlling Abi, Sarah inadvertently swaps one demon for another: anorexia.

Series Producer Peter Lloyd says: “Grace was a fantastic find for us – she’s a perfect example of what exciting, fresh talent is out there at the moment. She was a pleasure to have filming with us and I’ve no doubt that this is the start of a great career for her. I’m just glad we could get in there first!”

Grace is also rumoured to be joining the cast of Coronation Street to play the on screen sister of her real life sister Katherine Kelly, who plays Becky Granger.
