Coronation Street bosses are said to be considering hiring Katherine Kelly’s sister Grace to play her on screen sister on the ITV soap.

Katherine has recently singed a new two year contract which will see her staying on the soap as Becky Granger until at least 2011. Her sister Grace recently auditioned for a small part on the show and Street bosses loved her. But she resembles Katherine too much to join as anything but a family member.

A source told The Sun: “Grace came to audition for a small role and blew bosses away.”

“She’s as quirky as Katherine and she’s a cracking little actress.”

“However, they couldn’t give her the part because she just looks too much like Katherine. It’s uncanny.”

“It’s been agreed that if she joins the cast, she’s going to have to play one of Becky’s relatives, maybe even her sister.”

I think this would be a really interesting plot development. It would be a first in Corrie history and would give us a better insight into Becky’s troubled past.
