Graham Norton leaving BBC for Channel 4

Graham Norton is reportedly going home to Channel 4 as soon as his current BBC contract ends this year.

Graham has fronted such shows as ‘I’d Do Anything’ for the BBC but after the cancellation of this years Lloyd Webber reality TV show, Norton was left with no big projects on his horizon.

As Paul O’Grady threatens to leave Channel 4 due to budget cuts, there are those who think Norton would be the ideal replacement.

One source told The Sun: “Graham has enjoyed his time at the BBC, but it is highly unlikely he will be signing back exclusively with the BBC at the end of this year.

“Channel 4 are very keen to have him home.

“It’s where he started his television career and we are in talks about him taking Paul O’Grady’s time-slot.

“Graham has a natural energy on TV and his forté is entertaining and interviewing people. So it would be a perfect show for him.”

I would actually prefer to see Norton back on a late night show, where he could use his naturally risqué sense of humour to its full potential.
