Madonna GRAMMYs Macklemore

Madonna was announced as a performer at the 56th Annual GRAMMYs just a few days ago and people have been speculating as to what she’ll be performing.

The 56th Annual GRAMMYs are being held tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the ceremony will be televised on the CBS television network from 8pm (ET/PT).

In previous years we’ve seen some rather interesting mash ups when it comes to performances at the GRAMMYs but would you find it odd if Madonna were to appear on stage with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis?

According to Us Weekly that’s what we might see later tonight when the ceremony gets underway. If sources speaking to Us Weekly are anything to go by the trio could perform ‘Same Love’.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are up for ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Song of the Year’ to name a few but their song ‘Same Love’ became an anthem for those fighting for marriage equality.

This makes sense for Madonna to team up with the pair as she’s spent her career giving a voice to issues which are important to the gay community.

For now however the idea of the trio performing together are just rumours and speculation but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it after Madonna took to Instagram to talk about her appearance at the awards.

She said: “It’s official! I’m off my crutches and I’m looking for the perfect pair of heels to wear to the Grammys.”

The message, although cryptic ended with the hashtag #itsasecret which captioned an image of her gold grill veiled behind what appears to be a lace mask.

The 56th Annual GRAMMYs will be televised on the CBS television network from 8pm (ET/PT) and the show will be hosted once again by LL COOL J.
