The GRAMMYs are here and in just a few hours the music industry will come together to celebrate the biggest and best live from Los Angeles.
The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards will take televised from the Staples Center in Los Angeles from 8pm and Taylor Swift has commented on her friend Ed Sheeran and said she wants him to win.
Ed Sheeran is nominated for the ‘Best New Artist’ award and the ‘Lego House’ star will go up against the likes of James Blake, Kendrick Lamar, Kacey Musgraves and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
Country-pop sensation Taylor Swift however is continually praising Ed Sheeran for his talent as a musician and has confessed that she wants him to win at the GRAMMYs.
Taylor Swift spoke to Billboard.com about Sheeran and admitted that she doesn’t just want him to win at the GRAMMYs but at every awards ceremony where he’s nominated.
The ‘Red’ songstress said: “I want him to win everything he’s ever up for. He’s one of my favourite people on the planet. And he’s so talented and he’s worked so hard for it.”
Swift also added that she believes Ed Sheeran would be great at giving a speech following winning an award: “I think he would have amazing acceptance speeches. We toured together all year and I watched him every single night. He was just such a show-stopper.”
Taylor Swift will be in attendance at the 56th Annual GRAMMYs later tonight as she herself is also up for four awards including, ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Best Country Album’ for ‘Red’, ‘Best Country Duo/Group Performance’ and ‘Best Country Song’ for ‘Begin Again’.
The singer is also set to perform at the ceremony later tonight but what she is set to perform is being kept under wraps until the show goes live from 8pm (ET/PT).
