Grey’s Anatomy actress, Katherine Heigl has revealed that she wants to follow in the footsteps of Madonna and Angelina Jolie and adopt a baby.

“It’s something we’re definitely looking into doing in the future,” the actress told Access Hollywood.

She said: “It’s something I’m very passionate about and have always felt passionately about. My sister’s Korean, my mother adopted her, so she’s an important part of my life – it’s always been on my mind.”

“It’s just how I was raised, it’s what I believe and it’s what our family believes, and I’ve always felt that’s what’s going to happen for me and my family.”

But Katherine thinks that it is still too soon for her and musician husband Josh Kelley to start the adoption process.

“I don’t know what the process is or how to go about it or anything of those things – we’ve haven’t quite gotten there yet,” she said. “We’re still sort of newlyweds – almost a year now.”
