Grey’s Anatomy season six launches in American this month, unfortuntely we have to wait until January to gt our McDreamy fix. However EW.com have brought us some great spoilers centered around the three big couples on the show. Read on at your peril.

Owen and Cristina

In season six, Owen’s shrink advises him to cool things off with Cristina, at least until he can get the voices in his head to go away. This will increase the whole sexual tension thing, which you know we love!

Mark and Lexie
Executive producer Krista Vernoff told EW.com:

“They’ve got a lot of challenges coming down the pike. The most consistent challenge is the one that’s built into the fabric of their relationship: He’s pushing 40, she’s in her early 20s.”

Meredith and Derek
As Ellen Pompeo takes some maternity leave, Patrick Dempsey will be left to his own devices more often this season. Executive producer Krista Vernoff explained that Dempsey has been patiently waiting for some solo storylines.

“Derek hasn’t been a fully explored character separate from Meredith,” Vernoff admitted.

“The fact that by necessity Ellen is going to need a little less screen time gives us more encouragement to explore Derek as a doctor.”

This includes an “extraordinary medical story” involving Derek and a patient in episode six, directed by Chandra Wilson (Dr Bailey).
